Outstanding Reception for Restaurant Which Rose From the Flames

Over a year after it erupted in flames, the new look Ashoka Brasserie Kirkintilloch reopened earlier this month to an outstanding reception from locals who have welcomed it back with open arms to make it more popular than ever before.
The reopening of the restaurant, following a lavish £1 million restoration, marks a personal triumph for its owner, Meeki Singh, who had promised from the outset that he would not allow the devastating fire to signal the end of the road for the eatery. But even he has been taken aback by the response to the reopening from locals and visitors alike
Mr Singh said, “It’s just been fantastic to see so many Ashoka Brasserie regulars return to the restaurant in droves after a year long hiatus – but we’re also attracting many new customers too! So I’m absolutely delighted to say that the Ashoka Brasserie Kirkintilloch has not only survived the inferno, but is back bigger and better than ever before!”
The new Ashoka Brasserie has been given a distinctly continental, European feel, furnished with an elegant walnut, chocolate and lime colour scheme with such contemporary touches as a flat screen TV linking through to the live kitchen, enabling diners to see their dishes being prepared.
Meanwhile, a new large open bar area complements the 160 cover restaurant, inviting customers for a relaxing drink before or after their meal.
And whilst the menu has also been given a fresh makeover, with the addition of such European dishes as monkfish and sole enticing new customers, the return of the restaurant’s many regular customers suggests that they are clearly relieved to learn that its ever-popular range of curries remains intact!
